Photoshoot Information

What do I wear?!…

When deciding on what to wear to your photoshoot I suggest we focus on what mum is going to wear first ... I know personally that I find it hard to decide, so if we have a starting point then the rest will flow!

For women, floaty skirts and maxi dresses look beautiful, and can add movement to photographs. Patterns can help to tie in what the other family members wear, but try to avoid bold prints and logos. In the cooler months, adding a chunky knit or shawl to compliment your outfit really adds a new dimension and depth to your images.

For men, a complimentary coloured shirt to match your partner, either button up or T-shirt, with jeans, shorts or chino style pants look really smart. You’ll be feeling handsome in no time! Again, though, please avoid any bold logos… you don’t want to look back at your family photos with a stand-out logo on your front in each picture!

Walking age children we have a lot of fun with! Little girls look sweet in dresses, and boys wearing something to match dad! Again, wearing something of similar colour or pattern to compliment each other will help to tie in your overall look.

SSP editing style has a real earthy and creamy look, so think of wearing colours like aqua, pinks & blues to stand out. Or you could go with the Autumnal tones and wear burgundy, olive green, latte & apricot colours. Check out the Shoot Info highlight tab on my Instagram account for colour palette ideas that work really well with the SSP editing style.

Ensure you are comfortable in what you are wearing, and dress for the season, as this will help to make our time together more enjoyable, and for you to be yourself!

Keep your eye out on the SSP Instagram Page for regular updates via the Stories feature on ideas for what to wear for the whole family! Regular affordable favourites include Best & Less, Target, BigW, H&M and the Cotton On stores.
